For the price, it's very nice. The back legs don't extend the same distance, so if you prop it up, don't touch it or it may topple if 1 leg kicks out. Since I plan on wall hanging it, this doesn't bother me. Btw, this says wall mountable but there's no hardware included or attached to do this with. I'm going with the ever popular command strips to hang it up since I have those on hand.Love it! I have a lot of space in my sewing room so I was able to set this on an unused desktop. I read other reviews where the main complaint was that it wasn't sturdy. It is plenty sturdy for me because I am not having to work around it but I can see how it might get knocked over if you had to work around it. If you do use it on a table top I'd recommend putting a couple of the plastic pieces that you would use on a cabinet to keep it from slamming. Those would give it some grip. I might eventually hang it on a wall because I think it would look great as a functional decoration for my wall. I came across a cool idea from Pintrest. They cut a drinking straw in half and placed it over the spindles which made them a little longer so I can put the thread AND the bobbin on the same spindle! It works out great! I only had the bendable straws and I made them work but if you are buying straws specifically for using on this, I would buy the straight ones.Overall feels a little flimsy, but I have a ton of thread and there are not a lot of storage options. I already have several of the plastic tubs. I really wanted something that held them in a manner where they are more visible and usable. Even though it does seem flimsy coming out of the box it is sturdy and steady when loaded with thread. I currently have it on top of my cutting table but do intend to install on the wall and expect it to do well. I think it’s a little expensive for what it is, but again, was willing to pay because it’s doing what I wanted it to do.The two legs that open in the back to hold it up on a table were not even as one was shorter then the other. Not worth me sending back as im sure ill get another one just like it. I was able to move the shorter leg in as to balance it on my sewing table. Over all I was happy with my 1000M spools of thread to be able to fit side by side.PS it’s 3 months later after I bought my spool holder . To make room on my sewing table I decided to use sticky heavy duty Velcro (holds up to 10 lbs) and put two of my spool holders on my wall. I have 120 spool holder and a smaller one .I bougt this to manage my ever expanding thread collection (as I'm assuming most people are considering if you are reading this review)which it does perfectly. Its all wood and the legs on it work just fine, but I decided to mount mine on the wall because table space is rather limited in my craft room. The only down side is that it doesn't come with any mounting hardware, but my husband just secured it directly to the wall by drilling holes through the legs (since I don't need them) and screwing the whole thing to the wall. It doesn't really weigh much so its not really an issue. Since my thread collection is not currently big enough to completely fill the rack I'm using one of the lower rows to store my bobbins on, 2-3 bobbins will fit on a single peg, just not on top of a thread spool, though it is possible to stack the thread spool ontop of the bobbin. This rack definetly fit my needs, would have gotten 5 stars if it included mounting hardware.I would absolutely reccomend this to a friend.Just a little flimsy. Standing up it takes up a lot of space that way hanging on the wall it’s perfect trick is to hang it close enough to you so you can change out your embroidery thread as needed. Did not come with wall hanging hooks but easy enough to installI like this little thread holder. I bought two of them to hang on the wall. I would’ve given it more stars except for two things: when hung side-by-side, the two don’t lineup well ( it’s obvious they don’t match each other) Which is odd because I bought them from the same vendor thinking I was purchasing two of the exact same item, and one of the pegs was broken. Small things sure… But all the same I thought I should mention it.Love this item! Has so many spots to add all my gorgeous threads, no more searching, it’s all right in front of me color coordinated and right at my fingertips! Highly recommend! Please note: I did add hooks on the back so I could hang on the wall instead of taking up my precious needed table space.Arrived today and I am so happy with it. I have a small embroidery machine which requires a lot of thread so this stand will come in very helpful. It's an easy way to organise everything and it looks great. Stands up easily too.I'm going to spray paint it white so it matches the room :-)I ordered this to try and sort out my sewing room - my plan was to fix this to the wall. The quality of the product was a little bit disappointing - slightly flimsy and there were no holes to allow for fixing it to the wall - in the end I hooked it over some screws. Having said the above it does the job well and holds various shapes and sizes of cotten reels very adequately. I feel, for the quality of the product, it is overpriced.I mounted this on my wall beside two others I have. Unfortunately I cannot remember the maker of those. This is O.K. but really the pegs which are for holding the reels could do with being a bit longer. If you use smaller spools it will be fine though. It quite well made and it does the job for me. They are not easy to find and this was the only one I could find at the time. Does the job for small spools.Very small. The spools are thin and fragile and are not suitable for the mini cones. It's only fit for 200m spools but even then I am dubious as to whether they will last long. I was very disappointed with the quality. It's very poor.Perfect. Well done on providing a product on Amazon that's exactly what it says it's going to be. Very strong, I've put mine on the wall.
